Since its inception, UV printers have been mainly used in the advertising and architectural decoration industries, where there are no strict requirements for the physical and mechanical properties of UV ink after film formation. For industrial applications, the application and materials are relatively diverse, and there are different levels of requirements for the curing film performance of UV ink. UV printer manufacturers have higher requirements for adhesion, hardness, flexibility, and tensile performance.
Good printing quality for UV printers relies on the selection of nozzles and ink. For industrial application scenarios, a good industrial grade variable grayscale nozzle can be said to be an inevitable combination to achieve better printing speed and more stable performance. For UV ink, stability, non toxicity, non clogging of nozzles, good moisturizing and spraying properties are basic requirements. The ink for UV printers is generally divided into three levels based on its hardness after film formation: soft, medium, and hard. Depending on different industrial application scenarios, the ink with the corresponding hardness level can be selected. Generally speaking, soft ink has better flexibility, neutral ink has slightly stronger adhesion, and hard ink has better wear resistance. In theory, UV flatbed printers can use inks of different hardness, while roll printing mainly uses softer inks.
